  • Passing legislation eliminating a costly, burdensome reinsurance requirement imposed on mortgage guaranty insurers on behalf of the mortgage guaranty insurance industry.
  • Securing $2.3 million in funding for the Town of Guilderland for a water interconnection project on behalf of an engineering company.
  • Securing environmental permits for an expansion of a natural gas pipeline system on behalf of a natural gas pipeline company.
  • Securing $5 million in funding for upgrades to the Village of Cooperstown’s wastewater treatment plant on behalf of an engineering company.
  • Passing legislation allowing for the service of food and refreshments in funeral homes on behalf of the funeral industry.
  • Passing legislation that removed a drug used to detect Parkinson’s disease in patients from the state’s controlled substances list in order to help allow for increased access to the drug for patients on behalf of a healthcare company.
  • Securing $2 million in funding for the construction of a rail spur on behalf of a Capital District-area port and industrial park.
  • Passing model legislation that implements outdoor lighting installation standards for state-owned buildings while preserving “dark sky” qualities on behalf of an electronics/lighting manufacturing association.
  • Securing funding for a mixed-use development comprised of residential, retail and restaurant space in downtown Schenectady on behalf of a development company.
  • Securing Renewable Energy Credits for a biomass-fired electric generating facility to ensure its continued economic viability on behalf of a renewable energy generation company.
  • Working with state and local officials to address a logistics concern that allowed for the filming of a live television production on behalf of a broadcasting company.
  • Successfully negotiated changes to the Tax Law within the 2014-15 NYS Budget on behalf of manufacturing clients to provide them with beneficial tax treatment specific to qualified NYS manufacturing companies, resulting in significant savings for these clients.
  • Securing funding to develop a facility in the Capital Region to manufacture animal bedding products from materials derived from paper mill residuals on behalf of an organics company.

  • Developing and passing legislation that updated and strengthened the state’s railroad criminal trespass laws on behalf of a rail freight association.
  • Defeating proposed legislation that would have imposed burdensome and unsafe waste transport requirements on behalf of a rail freight association.
  • Securing $23 million in state funding for a $100 million expansion project on behalf of a dairy products manufacturer.
  • Developing and passing legislation that regulates protest activities at funeral services on behalf of the funeral directing industry.
  • Developing and passing legislation establishing a Film Production Credit on behalf of a television and film production company.
  • Securing an agreement with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation on behalf of a ski center regarding the amount of water it could withdraw from a local creek for snowmaking purposes.
  • Working with various State Agencies to promote and secure the permits for an undersea cable to transport electricity to Long Island.
  • Passing legislation that changed the Corporate Tax formula to a “Single Sales Factor” on behalf of a large New York corporation.
  • Securing $15 million in state funding for the development and construction of a $100 million sodium battery manufacturing facility.
  • Securing state funding for local governments on behalf of an engineering company for the development of wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Defeating a proposal that would have imposed state and local sales taxes on ski lift tickets.
  • Developing and passing legislation mandating timeframes that the DEC must comply with when approving pesticide products.

  • Securing an extension of the Power for Jobs and Economic Development Power programs on behalf of one of the State’s largest employers. In addition, helped to secure an extension of the Power for Jobs/Economic Development Power programs, and most recently the Recharge NY Power program.
  • Securing $10 million in state funding for a $165 million medical device manufacturing facility on behalf of a large healthcare company.
  • Passing legislation extending the law which regulates the selling of pre-need funeral services on behalf of the funeral industry.
  • Securing a $3 million budget appropriation to rehabilitate the rail line from Syracuse to Binghamton on behalf of a short line operator.
  • Developing and passing legislation allowing private label credit card companies to receive a refund of sales tax paid on uncollectible accounts from a private label credit card user.
  • Promoting and developing support to implement the Long Term Care Education public relations campaign at the NYS Department of Health on behalf of an insurance company.
